Well I really don't have anything to post today. This was the highlight of my afternoon. I made my kids endure me taking their photos. Tomorrow we will start school! My sleeping in has come to end for now. The first day of school was always so exciting. Picking out which outfit your would wear the first day. Getting to see who was in your class and getting to meet your teacher for the first time. Rachel has her outfit all picked out. The boys I don't think really care.
We shall see how tomorrow goes!

Last night our friends were trying to dig out some lawn to put down gravel. Well after steven helped a few minutes he decided it would be fast to go get a backhoe and do it (which didn't bother kody in the least). Kody had been working HARD on it all day. Well the kids LOVED having the backhoe around. We had to keep telling them to get back. Of course Ty had to be right in the cab with Steven. Really if Steven is home Ty is no more than a foot or so away.

Today I dove headfirst into a bushel of peaches (not literally). I spent the whole afternoon making and freezing Peach Pie filling. Making and bottling fruit and vegetables always means fall to me. I have been doing this as long as I can remember. My first memories of bottling are of standing at the sink pitting apricots for my mom. We would pretend it was a head and we would squish the brain out (what can I say I was a kid and was bored)! I used to love to bottle with my mom. It always was my favorite time of year FALL! I still love it. There is just something about the changing leave's and the crisp air. The deer hunt when all the men would go on the mountain and we would go up at night and dutch oven dinner with them. The taste of apples fresh off the orchard tree (we lived in the middle of a LARGE orchard). Fresh peaches with cream and sugar for breakfast. Picking veggies out of the garden and having squash for dinner. What wonderful memories. So I will be freezing green beans tomorrow and eagerly awaiting the changing of the leaves.

Ju Ju men!

So this is my Little Hunter. His friend Dubby has a rip stick and Hunter really wanted to ride it. Well if you have ever seen them they only have 2 wheels and 2 spots to put your feet. If you move your feet you crash all you can do is wiggle them. Well he really wanted to do it so for 3-4 nights straight all he did was practice on it for hours. Well he finally got it! Now he does great. He is so persistent.

So this is my 3 darling boys playing "Ju Ju Men". When I asked them some time ago when they started playing it what it was they told me they were Jungle men. So now this is one of their favorite games. They wear nothing but their shorts and make tents of all the pillows and blankets. Well this is them eating their lunch in the Jungle.

Freestyle Motocross!

So last night we went to freestyle motocross. It was so much fun. As most of you know we are kinda motorcycle junkies around here. Well after a 45 min wind delay it got under way. I am not sure who had the best time Steven or Hunter and Slade. Ty had a blast TILL the guy with the $10.00 dollar glow sticks walked by. We all know that guy anyone with kids knows that guy. He's the one that walks around selling outrageously priced glowing Junk! Then your kids see him and it's all over your kids start crying and HAVE to have one. Well it was just my luck that he decided to sit down right below us (GRRRRRR). So the last 15 min we listened to Ty whine about them. When he FINALLY did leave he set his booth up at the gate exit. Thank hevan there was a free petting zoo across the way so went and let the kids pet all kinds of animals. I have finally saw what only larry the cucumber can sing about A "ceabu"(I think that is how you spell it)! To sum up the night all was fun. To entertain Slade while we waited I took random photo's of him pulling faces and then he would look at them and laugh and laugh. Anyway here is some of the photo's of last night.
