New moon!

So for Rachel's Birthday all she wanted to do was go see New Moon just me and Rach! Well I HATE large crowd's so I have been putting off going to see this movie for the obvious reason of this movie is crazy popular. Well rachel got birthday money from her grandparents and wants to go any buy herself a new sweater and boots. I am now dreading tomorrow because I can't put this off any longer. I am praying that maybe if we go to an early enough movie there wont be a large crowd. Then we can go to the mall (sigh)! I love my daughter but hate shopping in crowds. So for the love of my daughter I will put on a brave face I will go see a movie that SHE is dyeing to see (the books were better, I am hoping they did a better job with this one than they did the last). And I will brave the mall in December. These are the same reasons I have not done ANY Christmas shopping. No you don't need glasses you read that right I have not done any christmas shopping. What will shock you probably more is I do not intend to do any till the weekend of the 18th! I have it all figured out. Now I am leery in sharing how I do this but here goes. I do not even start shopping till 8 pm at night if I don't have to the best shopping start at about 10pm NO ONE is there. It is the best most stores extend their store hours to midnight or latter during the holidays and that is when they do their restocking. It is wonderful while everyone is in bed or getting there. Steven and I are out in Ice covered parking lots in 17 degree weather shopping and so few people are there the whole store is ours lolol! The people who work there are more than happy to help you find something at 1 am cause they have nothing better to do. That to me is the JOY of holiday shopping. So if you to decide to brave the elements and do some midnight shopping a week before christmas watch for me. I will be the one enjoying myself with my Hubby!

So tonight's post I was not sure what it was going to be about. So as I sit here with a few idea's running through my head I don't want to do yet I look at my Hubby and have decided this post will be about him!

Some of the reason's I love my Husband! (yes only some, a girl has to keep some things to herself)

1- Steven makes me laugh! Some of the stuff he says cracks me up.

2- He is a listener and as most of you know I am a talker! lol He know just what he needs to say and I need to hear though.

3- He is honest! I love the fact that with steven we can be totally honest. If he doesn't like what I am wearing or how my hair is he tells me which I appreciate! I hate it when you look terrible and everyone tells you "oh you look great". I always know when he say's I look good he means it.

4- He is so dang HOT! Come on we can all see it. lol

5- I could spend every waking minute with him and NEVER get tired of it! I love to be with Steven. He is more than a best friend and more than just a husband.

6- I love the fact we never fight! Yes I said Never fight. Now we have had fights in our marriage but I don't remember the last one. We disagree but those are always joking around.

7-I love that we can sit in the same room me reading and him doing paper work and say nothing to each other and just enjoy sitting by each other.

8- I love that after a long day when I am tired and wore out all I have to see is steven walk through the door and everything is better because he is there.

9- I love the fact that I still get excited when Steven calls or I know he almost home. I can't wait to see him!

10- It makes me Eternally grateful that I have a Temple marriage to Steven! What a blessing Steven is to me and I am truly thankful!

Lightning!

Today after I dropped the kids off at school I was carrying Ty in the house. He was mad at me cause I would not give him a piece of gum. Well as he leaned forward with his face and touched mine the static electricity shocked us. So I looked at him and said:

Me "Ouch you shocked me!"

Ty " That is because I am so mad at you that my lightning came out at you!"

Moral of the story don't make Ty angry. He carries around lightning!

WOW what a weekend!

All I can say is thank heaven for Sunday! This Saturday was ONE busy day. My saturday morning started at 6 am when I got up to get ready to be at the boys wrestling tournament at 8am. It was fun for the boys and they both did so well!

Hunter took 2nd Place!

Slade took third place! We were so proud of both of them! Yes I will be the first to admit I am kinda one of those insane mom's who cheer really LOUD! what can I say I love my boys!

So after the Tournament me and Steven went grocery shopping. Then we celebrated Rachel's birthday. Today she is 11! Where does the time go. She has gotten so grown up. We are so proud of the sweet young lady she has become.

So for her birthday she got the wii game Sing it. It is a karaoke type game with disney songs. The Photo of Ty with the microphone was so funny. That boy was really rocking out.

Everyone had a great time singing some High school musical and Hannah Montana!

So onward to sunday we all got ready for church and Ty saw Steven put his tie on sooooo he HAD to have one. This is the one he chose. Yes he wore it to church cause I thought it was so dang cute and so did everyone else.

thankful #4

1- I am Thankful for Grandma's with patience to help do everything my kids need help doing! My mom is so great and I truly don't know what I would do without her around!
2- I am Thankful for Grandpa's with strong legs. In my family we joke around that my dad has a fan club. Every grandson ADORES my dad. Now I really cant explain how serious I am! My boys wont let my dad leave their sight the whole time he is around.
3- I am Thankful for family camp trips! I have so much fun each year on these! You would think we would learn to take the photo the first day when we are all clean instead of the 4th when we well I think the photo explains it all! lol
4- I am Thankful for Capitol Reef! This is where I grew up. It will always have a place in my heart.
