Ok ladies here is the Jewelry my sister is selling! All these pieces are only 5-7$! As you can see most of the necklaces come with earrings! She has a TON TON TON more this is just a small sample of necklaces, bracelets, headbands, and flowers. She will be coming up to my house with all her stuff so if you want some let me know!

Hmmmm makes ya think!

Will my kids need therapy when they figure out all the warnings I give them are lies! For example:
 1- If you ride on the escalator your shoe lace will get caught in it and it will suck your leg in! Then how will you get out?
 2- If you don't wash your hands you will get the Haunta virus and end up in the hospital! Then what?
 3- If you aren't good in school they will kick you out and never let you back! Then you will have to get a job! Do you want that!!!
 4- If you go past the boundary riding your bike you will get a flat tire and we will have to throw your bike away!

Things my kids refuse to believe that ARE TRUE!
 1- Grandma was not always nice!!!!!! She was mean sometimes when I was a kid! (I love ya mom) lol
 2- I am NOT made of money!
 3- You can not only eat cereal all the time!
 4- If you wreck your motorcycle I will not fix it! (ok so that is only partially true cause steven would) lol

Jobs Steven never applied for but got anyway!
 1- Laundress. He just does it all the time I love it!!!!
 2- 3rd councilor in the Primary Presidency!
 3- Photography assistant! He really does rock this position! I may give him a raise some day!

Lies I tell myself and hope that someday might be true!
 1- Maybe if I am really quiet the kids wont find me for a little while longer! (Never happens)
 2- If I hold really still maybe they will think I am still asleep.
 3- If I ignore their whining  long enough they will go away!
 4- If I hide this candy, gum, ice cream ect... Maybe it will be there next time I go to get it!
 5- Maybe when I get home they have cleaned the house! :) nope :(

 However "We are a Happy Family"!

What brings me joy!

Today In NO particular order I thought I would list all of the things that bring me joy! Well maybe not all but quiet a few. Also this will not include the big one's such as family blah blah you all know I love them (if ya didn't I do)! Ok So in my head I can hear David Letterman doing his best "Top Ten" voice. Not sure why he came to mind I don't really watch him hmmm oh well anyway here we go........

1- Slade's dancing! I wish I could put a video up of it (hmmm maybe I will try and get one to post).  For those of you who have ever seen the episode of "Seinfeld" were Elaine dance's well that body contorting is pretty much how slade dance's. I LOVE to watch him it makes me smile and love the poor little left footed dancer all the more! The joy he brings me to watch this is the best! This one is the whole reason I did this list lol.
2- Cooking. I love to cook I love to bake you name it! Now not just any food I am talking GOOD food. I will try recipe after recipe till I find the one that makes you say with your mouth full of food "Oh my gosh that is soooo good"! I have a gallon ziplock bag ( glamorous I know) filled with the best recipes EVER. Many who know these recipes have tried to snoop and copy only to find me glaring down at them mwaahahahahahah! 
3-Talking on the phone. I love to visit I LOVE IT! Lucky for me I have so many great people in my life who love to visit with me too! (At least I think they do? Well they don't hang up on me so that's a good sign I think! lol)
4- The smell of Bath and Body works lotion. Well two in particular 1- Japanese cherry blossom and 2- Midnight Pomegranate mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! Nuff said
5- A good book! Oh how I could spend so many hours doing nothing but curling up on my sofa with a good book. My books have kinda taken over the boys closet. It's not like they need to hang up cloths or anything
6- Southern utah. I love going to my parents house. I love their farm where my kids can run and play. I love sitting on the back porch with my mom and dad visiting for hours eating otter pop after otter pop.
7- #6 brings me to this one. Going on 4 wheeler rides in the mountains around my parents home is the best. I so enjoy all of us jumping on 4 wheelers and riding but I LOVE getting on the 4-wheeler behind Steven and flying up the dirt roads to the top of the mountain just the two of us (unless troy is following, also very fun)
8- A good movie. I so enjoy watching movies. I love to curl up on the bed and watch movies!
9- Camping. Camping is the best for so many reasons but some of the top ones are 1- Steven does all the cooking (yesssssss) 2- The kids don't bother me they are tromping out through the woods 3- I get to relax!
10-Watching my boys ride Dirt bikes. Seriously they are so cute on their tiny little bikes trying to go, do and jump everything steven does.
11- Date night with my main man. Steven is soooooo stinking hot I just love going to dinner with him. He is the best and we always get to go where I want!
12- Steven smells AWESOME! Now I dont go around sniffing everything but good gravy Steven always smells good!
13- Family History. I love family history (kinda geeky) you learn so many cool things and stories!
14- Giving gifts. I love when people are excited over a gift.
15- You cant have 14 without 15! I was so excited the other day when I found out my friend Sara is like me and loves to get gifts. Everyone says "oh I just love to give gifts I don't need anything". Now I love to give gifts too BUT I LOVE getting gifts and birthday/ christmas money! For those of you thinking Trista is selfish lol it's ok cause Steven loves me selfish and all!
16- I do enjoy girls night! I love to laugh and we always do a lot of that!
17- When my kids clean up without being asked too!
18- The funny things kids will tell me in primary. People your secrets are not safe!!!!!! I can not stress this enough. Your children will go to primary and they will announce your family secrets in sharing time.  LOL LOL I love it there!
19-A relaxing long weekend with nothing to do!
And drum roll Please
20- I saved the best for last. I find sooooo much Joy and love in taking photo's! I Love to catch those little moments where people think you are not paying attention and you catch that look between a husband and wife, or a kiss from a child. I Love a great Black and White photo. You can really see personalities in people when their is no color detracting from their eye's. People eyes tell so much in a photo! The joy I get after finishing editing photo's and I sit back and finally just look at my work and enjoy it is the best! I love it when people look at their photo's and I can tell they love them as much as I do.
So there you have it 20 joys and loves in my life! I may have bored you, surprised you or made you laugh. I hope I at least didn't bore you. There are so many things I left off the list as I sit here and think I may have to do a sequel to this list some day!

What has the Blackburn's been up to?

WOW what a Holiday season! We have experienced it all! We have had those wonderful moments that make up the holiday season and we have had those moments that make you want to pull your hair out. We will start with the bad. Right before Christmas we had some information stolen from us and as a a result half our checking was cleaned out. Now that being said it was bad however I have been trying to keep focused on all the blessings in my life so that is all that will be said on that subject. On ward and up ward to happy things! Before christmas I went and bought paints for the kids to keep them busy soooo the top photo's were of me taking advantage of them to busy to pay attention. Christmas eve is always so fun at our house and this year was no different we had a great time making cookies for santa and opening pj's. Christmas morning was delightful first off my kids slept till 8am (not bad I say)! Everyone one was so excited and had a good time playing with toys. Steven and I on the other hand were delighted with the 5000 twist ties we had to remove from all the boys toys ( this is being typed with EXTEME sarcasm) before they could play with them. Really would 2 or 3 be enough do we really need 8 yes I removed 8 twist ties off of one small toy! After a frenzy of wrapping paper, twist ties and boxes we had a yummy big breakfast. The following monday we got brave enough to venture out into the cold and headed down south to my in-laws in wayne county. Steven took the boys over to the dairy to see the cow's and I could not resist taking the photo above of Ty looking like a little elf in his hat. That night all but one of Steven's sisters and their families came over for dinner. It was a ton of fun. My boys loved their cousin Nelson and he was so great to hang out with them all night. They are going to be sad little boys when he leaves on his mission in may! Rachel had a blast with her cousins. Rachel and Burgan made Kate a dress out of the left over wrapping paper ( I thought it looked pretty good). They had so much fun and laughed so hard.
On wed. we headed for Bryce canyon and my parents house. We got over there and it was soooooooooo cold then on top of that the wind was blowing which made it feel 20 degree's colder than it was. We had a blast over there. It was so nice and relaxing. Mom got a Wii for christmas so we hooked it up and everyone played. I was able to get the best video ever of my Dad, Hunter, and Slade all dancing in the living room to a game my brother Adam had brought. It was so funny however my Dad would NOT be happy with me If I posted that video. Come to think of it I am not sure if he even know's I have it he was too busy with the game to realize I was filming. On friday we headed home to relax a day or two before back to the weekly routine. Now I am left with all the carnage of the last week and a half strewn through out my house. I am afraid it will take me at least that long to get my house back to some semblance of order.   Ahhhhhh and that brings me to today and the peace and quiet of the kids being in school and the only sound is from ty in the other room. I love the Holidays ONCE a year~
