SO I am sending this question out into the great big blog world. To all you faithful (or just bored and need something to do) Readers. Wait maybe I should start with the beginning first.
Today I went to pick up my kids from school. I have a very specific routine I follow everyday. I go to school one way and come home a different way. Why you ask well not for any particular reason the traffic going one way in the morning is easier than in the afternoon so I take the less traveled road ( hmmmm did I just say something deep and insightful about myself, that is for another time to explore). Well I picked the kids up and started for home. Well the usual was going on the radio was going (you think I would learn not to try and listen to it after school) and all three kids were trying to tell me about there day. Each was trying to speak over another and all were about 10 decibels to loud. As I stopped at a red light I came out of whatever trance I was in and realized I had just drove 3/4 of the way home and could not remember one second of the drive.
I had zoned out so completely that I had tuned absolutely EVERYTHING out. So this brings me to my question how often do we go through this life and tune out a day, week, or a month? I find my self saying alot "where has this week gone". I think we get into our comfortable little rut where we go about our days in a fog. We are like machines that just do it. So I for one will try to listen to the chaos that ensues in my back seat each day after school and tune out a little less.

Disclaimer: There will be times when I will still tune the kids out however I will try and not do it while driving! lol

So today Ty was soooo bored he found the yatzee game. Well he followed me around for 30 min or so crying plllleeeeaaaassssee play. So I finally sat down and started to play with him. Well we started out playing the RIGHT way. I would roll the dice and mark my score and then he would roll the dice and I would mark his score. Well after a few turn's we had to play the TY WAY. We went from using the dice to the chips. I had the score card taken from me and he proceeded to keep score for us. Now I am not sure but some how I lost! I am still trying to figure that one out. It all worked out for the best 1- It kept Ty busy for awhile and 2- I learned a whole new game.

So who says you can't camp, have a fire and roast marshmallow's all in your living room. The boys on saturday set up their tent and roasted marshmallow's over the clone helmet campfire.
The bad thing about having an oldest sister and then all brothers is alot of stuff around the house is left over from the oldest (sister). However till they complain really loud they can use it!

An email from a friend! One we should all read.

From Elder Nelson's training to Bishops and Stake Presidents in Beaver, Utah last Saturday.

  • The worst is yet to come with the economy. We may not see it turn in our time. He and other church leaders met with 5 world renowned economists and after the meeting felt that these 7 things will help us survive:
    1. Pay an honest tithe. The Lord promises great blessings to those that do.
    2. Learn to say, "We can't afford it".
    3. Take care of our bodies. Exercise, eat right, get enough rest. With health care costs up in the air we must take care of ourselves by living every word of the Word of Wisdom so we hopefully don't have to use health care.
    4. Don't assume that past investments will give the same return in the future as they did in the past. Be wise in your investments.
    5. Stay home, travel less. Don't make un-needed trips.
    6. Spend less than you earn.
    7. Never for any reason take out a second mortgage on your home.
  • Avoid pornography at all costs as if it were a deadly plauge.
  • Food Storage.
  • Have hope inspite of the times, these are all signs and happenings that preceed the Second Coming of Christ and if we are prepared we don't have any need to fear.

I will tie your shoe.
I will cook your meals and feed you.
I will clean your knee put a band aid on it and kiss it better.
I will teach you to pick up your toys, sit still in church, not be mean to others.
I will help you learn to love by loving you.
I will teach you about Heavenly Father and Jesus and my love of them.
I will help you with your homework and make sure it's done.
I will take you to school and pick you up and listen about your day.
I will put you to bed even when you don't want to so you wont be tired at school.
I will love you even when you do wrong.
I will love you when you accomplish all you set out to.
I will watch you grow and cherish the person you become.
I will talk with you when you need to talk.
I will listen to you when you need an ear to hear your thoughts.
I will love you for eternity because I am what God created me to be.
I am your Mother.

Just my random thought for the day!

I find myself feeling a little like this flower tonight. I was looking through my photos tonight and came across this photo. When you look at it one side of the flower is a little dry the middle has a little damage to the petals but the left side looks beautiful. At times I am wearing my house cloths, hair in a pony, and no shoes on. My house may be cluttered and the laundry backing up. Then there are other times I get to dress up go out have a good time. My house will stay clean and the laundry is done. However look at the whole flower and there is nothing wrong with a little flaw here and there. It still ends up looking pretty. There are a few of us this week who feel like this flower so sit back and enjoy the photo!

My Handsome knight!

Once upon a time not to long ago there lived a queen in her castle now her castle wasn't the biggest but she liked it. In the castle there also lived a princess and 3 little prince. Now the queen would toil her days away in the castle making sure that all the little royalty was fed and had clean cloth's. She worked so hard to keep her castle clean but the the little prince's were spoiled little boys who at times did not care to help pick up the modest but nice castle. The queen would get very upset although it did no good some times. It was these times that the queen thought she would loose her mind and have to be locked up in the tallest tower. So on one of these very days the queen was exhausted and had turned the castle over to the prince's. They had laid siege on her clean bathroom by washing dirt covered toys in the wash basin. They had destroyed and concurred the grand living room and there sights were set on the royal family room next with snacks in hand. Saddened the queen retired to her window seat to gaze out it.
Just then when all hope was lost the queen spotted her Knight in his trusty white ford steed! It glistened as it came towards her tall with 4 doors, Big wheels and tires. As the knight stepped out of his trustworthy truck steed the queen smiled for she knew she was saved. Up the walkway and to the the front steps the knight proceeded looking mighty hot I might add! He burst through the front door and took control of the the 3 little prince's. With a smile on her face the knight took the queen to walmart and the little prince's stayed at home!
See life can be a fairy tale it's all how you look at it!

The question of the day "Is homework a learning tool for our children OR a punishment for those of us who dared to have children"? Today my answer would be PUNISHMENT. Some days 3 children all needing help with homework is more than I can take. Is it the homework that is getting to me or fall fever. What is fall fever you ask! Well fall fever is the exact opposite of spring fever. IT is the realization that winter is just around the corner which means it will be to cold to go outside and play. It is the realization that 6 people will be cooped up in this house for months. It is the realization that Ty will no longer be aloud to go anywhere but church (and only then if he is well). It is the realization that my sanity will be pushed to the very limits! Now I realize all this soooo to combat the sick feeling this realization gives me I have booked a room at a B&B (no kids :) for the end of this year. I did this to give myself something to look forward too! So if you too suffer from fall fever this is a very important key "GIVE YOURSELF SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TOO"! So until the next random thought hits and I tell myself I must share it with you have a nice evening!

Home! We have just spent 3 full days at my parent's and it was much needed. Thursday night we headed for my parents home. We spent the whole weekend visiting, laughing and having a good time. SO let me explain my photo's first is of the rooster that attacked Slade. Now my mom has been complaining about this rooster for some time now. This is one MEAN rooster in fact it was so mean to the other chickens my dad took it out and instead of making it dinner he took it up to the farm and let it loose. Now the problem with this is now it can't attack the other chickens however it now attacks my mom, her cats, and YES my dad. Now at this point we are all still wondering why it is alive. Well the boys went with my dad to feed cows and the rooster flew up and grabbed a hold of Slade's shirt and started pecking him. Well slade was upset by this which brings me to the photo of the boys walking with the dog and their BB guns (NO they were not loaded). They decided with Grandma's approval that they were going to kill the rooster so it could not attack them anymore! The dog was there for their protection. Well after two days of chasing that rooster (with the help of the dog) it is still alive HOWEVER it runs for the back of the barn if it see's the boys and their BB gun's. The rooster got a little taste of how it feels to be picked on LOL.
Ty spent some time in the garden picking peas and trying to feed them to the dog. Which she turned her nose up at. After a long weekend of rooster attacks, fires and roasted marshmallo's, visiting, eating, relaxing and more visiting it was sad to have to leave. But we are home and ready for school tomorrow!

Imagination!

So in life you meet people who have a smile that brightens everyones day. You meet people who's laughter is contagious. Those who are so kind everyone want's to be there friend. Every once in a while you will meet a truly unique person. A person who is different but in such a great way it just makes you love them all the more. My Slade is just such a person. After 5 years with my sweet little boy I have learned alot. This week I have learned an important lesson. After the last week of slade being in school I have realized why I always have such a mess in my house. Now I always knew he made ALOT of the mess with the Pillows, BLankets, Dragons, Matchbox cars, so on and so forth. Thats it though that is the reason right there in front of me. Slade's imagination is far to large for my home. There is not enough room for the castle. The living room is too small for the ninja fights. The couch will never be tall enough for the sky diving. The princess will always need her bodyguard outside of her door. The ju ju mens jungle will never have enough pillows and blankets to make a big enough tent and the matchbox race track through the kitchen will never be long enough. So that is Slade a little boy with an imagination sooo large he will defiantly make an impression in this large world!
