It has began!

So yesterday ALL of my boys were really excited for wrestling to start Oct.19! Both Hunter and Slade will be wrestling this year with Clearfield High school bantam program. Steven will be helping out as an assistant coach! I have a feeling my living room will be a wrestling mat for the next few months!

Last night was AWSOME!

So last night was sooooo awesome. If you can't tell from the photo's and if you have talked to me in the last two weeks you know I went to the Poison/ Def lepard concert! We had awesome seats. The music was great and they sounded just as good as they did when I was in middle school and high school. Although either we were way to close to the speaker's, or my ears are not what they use to be in High school because the rest of the night it sounded like I had ear plugs in. I have to admit they are still a little muffled today (IT WAS WORTH IT) lol. We had V.I.P tickets so we had dinner there before the show and it was really good. There was a concierge who would bring around drinks for you. At one point I was two inches from steven's ear yelling and he still could not hear me. On the way home though we were driving and I could hear wind whistling so just as I was saying something to steven the car computer screen said we had low tire pressure. Well not 1 min latter it said we had a tire going flat. So steven to the first off ramp and as soon as he opened the door we could hear the sound of our tire going flat. Well steven jumped back in and said we had maybe 3 min before it was all the way flat. So we hurried and found a school parking lot and pulled in. Well as steven jumped out of the car the rim hit the ground (talk about good timing). Now I will be the first to admit I LOVE the conveniences in cars now. We would not have know we had a flat till we were on the rim if it had not been for the sensor's in the tires telling us. Then we would have been on the dark freeway changing it. Well after 30 min we were on the road again. Even with a flat tire my night was AWSOME!
ps I know I kinda have a cheesy smile but it was the only photo I had of us. lol

!st day of school!

So this was the first day of school. Of course Ty had to get in the action! So far so good all the kids like their teachers.

Sunday, August 23, 2009

Well I really don't have anything to post today. This was the highlight of my afternoon. I made my kids endure me taking their photos. Tomorrow we will start school! My sleeping in has come to end for now. The first day of school was always so exciting. Picking out which outfit your would wear the first day. Getting to see who was in your class and getting to meet your teacher for the first time. Rachel has her outfit all picked out. The boys I don't think really care.
We shall see how tomorrow goes!

Last night our friends were trying to dig out some lawn to put down gravel. Well after steven helped a few minutes he decided it would be fast to go get a backhoe and do it (which didn't bother kody in the least). Kody had been working HARD on it all day. Well the kids LOVED having the backhoe around. We had to keep telling them to get back. Of course Ty had to be right in the cab with Steven. Really if Steven is home Ty is no more than a foot or so away.

Today I dove headfirst into a bushel of peaches (not literally). I spent the whole afternoon making and freezing Peach Pie filling. Making and bottling fruit and vegetables always means fall to me. I have been doing this as long as I can remember. My first memories of bottling are of standing at the sink pitting apricots for my mom. We would pretend it was a head and we would squish the brain out (what can I say I was a kid and was bored)! I used to love to bottle with my mom. It always was my favorite time of year FALL! I still love it. There is just something about the changing leave's and the crisp air. The deer hunt when all the men would go on the mountain and we would go up at night and dutch oven dinner with them. The taste of apples fresh off the orchard tree (we lived in the middle of a LARGE orchard). Fresh peaches with cream and sugar for breakfast. Picking veggies out of the garden and having squash for dinner. What wonderful memories. So I will be freezing green beans tomorrow and eagerly awaiting the changing of the leaves.

Ju Ju men!

So this is my Little Hunter. His friend Dubby has a rip stick and Hunter really wanted to ride it. Well if you have ever seen them they only have 2 wheels and 2 spots to put your feet. If you move your feet you crash all you can do is wiggle them. Well he really wanted to do it so for 3-4 nights straight all he did was practice on it for hours. Well he finally got it! Now he does great. He is so persistent.

So this is my 3 darling boys playing "Ju Ju Men". When I asked them some time ago when they started playing it what it was they told me they were Jungle men. So now this is one of their favorite games. They wear nothing but their shorts and make tents of all the pillows and blankets. Well this is them eating their lunch in the Jungle.

Freestyle Motocross!

So last night we went to freestyle motocross. It was so much fun. As most of you know we are kinda motorcycle junkies around here. Well after a 45 min wind delay it got under way. I am not sure who had the best time Steven or Hunter and Slade. Ty had a blast TILL the guy with the $10.00 dollar glow sticks walked by. We all know that guy anyone with kids knows that guy. He's the one that walks around selling outrageously priced glowing Junk! Then your kids see him and it's all over your kids start crying and HAVE to have one. Well it was just my luck that he decided to sit down right below us (GRRRRRR). So the last 15 min we listened to Ty whine about them. When he FINALLY did leave he set his booth up at the gate exit. Thank hevan there was a free petting zoo across the way so went and let the kids pet all kinds of animals. I have finally saw what only larry the cucumber can sing about A "ceabu"(I think that is how you spell it)! To sum up the night all was fun. To entertain Slade while we waited I took random photo's of him pulling faces and then he would look at them and laugh and laugh. Anyway here is some of the photo's of last night.

So I am defiantly in a list making mood! I sat down yesterday and made a list of 21 things I need to do before fall. I know I am on a time crunch now. Now that I sit here and think I will be adding #22 to the list when I am done ( Bottle peach jam, Make and Bottle peach pie filling). So back to my list! It consists of now 22 things that HAVE to be done. Such as let's see this one is #5 Wash and oil fronts of cupboards or #10 clean out and wash fridge Or #11 12 & 13 clean out mine, steven and rachel's closets. My personal favorite though ,oh I don't know # 20 clean carpets or even better # 9 wash wall's. So now that I have depressed myself remembering my list. So I should really be cleaning right now! However I could not wait to post about my new find.
I was looking at fabric designer web sites ( I realize this is weird just bear with me) when I stumbled on fabric.com I am in love! They have free shipping on orders 35 and up. They also have yardage estimators for progects like quilts, comforters, curtains ect. My favorite part they sell the fabric I like by the designers Amy butler, Heather Bailey and Sandi Henderson ( I love Sandi's fabric). The have patterns for great price's. So this is my new FAVORITE web site. Now I have to say I have not ordered from them yet. I just found them today. However I will be soon I hope. Ok now that I have shared my excitement I can get back to cleaning! :)

So last night was the neighborhood Party. We had a ton of fun. The Fire department came as did the police and paramedics. It was so much fun. The kids got to get there photo's taken by them. It was fun to get to visit with people. As many of you know Me and Steven and the kids sit outside every night till around 10pm with our friends Kody , Jubilee and there kids. Well last night we were the first at the party and the last. We finally went in around 11pm. It is so fun to sit and watch 9 kids ride bikes up and down the road. This is what summer is for!

Hunter had to hold Ty in the photo for me. lol

Again Rachel had to hold Ty in the photo for me.

UHHHHHH! I am so tired. I just got home from school cloths shopping with Hunter and Slade. It went ok. I think I have just about everything for them. All I need is 2 more t-shirts each and shoes for them. Now I have two more saturdays after this one to get Rachel's cloths and all three's shoes. So I think that will wait till next saturday! Im tired. Who knows maybe I will talk myself into going this saturday morning with rachel. Bigger miracles have occurred than that.

I can't believe it but it really happened!

So I did it! It really happened. I did not think it would but it did. I always thought I would take care of it before it would get to this point. It took only 1 year just 1 year. I am not sure if that is good or bad. Does it mean I go over board ? I think it means I need to do something about it. Well that is obvious!
What you say! Well the other night at Enrichment night I had a friend of mine taking photo's of the fashion show I was doing. Well half way through she called over to me and told me MY MEMORY CARD IS FULL! 2000 Photo's is what it has on it. Now before you say "why dont you take those off". Let me say I have EVERY photo on my camera on my computer and backed up too! So you say why do you have that many photo's on your card. Well I am TERRIBLE at developing photo's. Plus not all those photos need to be developed. So I have never been one to make New Year's resolutions BUT I am making a Mid Year resolution to start developing photos every month. Wish me luck! You DON'T even want to know what is on my other one lol!

My weekend!

So starting Friday I signed up for a class at the Apple store to work with My computer. This is the finished product of that lesson. I took a photo of Ty and put it over a photo from our trip to vegas it was taken at the Luxor! I thought it was kinda cute.
If you notice this is the same photo from the post right before this one!
On saturday afternoon we got the little pool out for the kids to play in while I worked on a poster for enrichment night. I love saturdays in the backyard. I will be sad to see summer leave.
Rachel will pose for anything.
Boys being boys.
Having fun in the sun.
